Changing updating hard drive

We would like to thank fujianabc @ boot-land forum for this workaround.

Requirements: # An external hard drive formatted with NTFS # Windows 7 installation files (if you have Windows 7 ISO use Virtual Clone Drive freeware to mount it) # Windows Automated Installation Kit (free download from Microsoft) NOTE: Make sure that you have a minimum of 15 GB free space on your external hard drive before starting the procedure.

It doesn't show at all in device management, there was no hidden drive for it in device manager, it doesn't show up in cmd when I try the diskpart operation, didn't show up in Seatools, have connected to different USB ports etc.

The only drive that is recognised on my laptop, in any program, is only my internal HDD.

It doesn't matter if you have the 20GB, 60GB, or even the new 80GB Play Station 3--you can always use more storage space.

All that available hard-disk space quickly disappears once you start downloading games, demos, and HD videos.

Fortunately, Sony has designed the PS3 to allow console owners to perform their own hard-drive upgrades.

You can go out and select your own hard drive instead of being forced to buy an official first-party hard-disk accessory.

Laptops most widely use 2.5-inch SATA drives , but you should check your laptop manual or specifications to make sure you buy the right size SSD with the proper interface.

In an hour or two, you can easily be up and running with a clone of your current system -- except now your laptop will have blazing performance. The process of upgrading your laptop to SSD is fairly simple if you have easy access to your hard drive via a removable panel on the bottom of the laptop.
